2nd solo exhibition: "Golfers are (just) humans too" by Ondrej Kohout, from Feb 23 to March 31
Over a hundred keen visitors arrived at the private view of the first of four solo exhibitions to take place at the Klasan Gallery in 2012. Ondrej Kohout presented his new and exciting series of tongue-in-cheek paintings around the subject of golf, which will remain on display at the Klasan gallery for a month. The exhibition was formally opened by the president of the Künstlerhaus Vienna, Mr Joachim Lothar Gartner. In his lively discussion with the artist, the audience found out about Kohut's extraordinary works, exhibited to their very best in Klasan Gallery's spacious halls. A particularly pleasing piece of news for the gallery's development is the recent procurement and presentation of two new contemporary artists. Martin Lettrich's unusual sculptures and Dominika Szcszot's large-scale vision surrounding the subject of cells are a great enrichment to the gallery's exhibits.
The party was once again catered successfully with a selection of fantastic wines by Georg Schramel/austrianwinetrade. He made use of the occasion to present six new vineyards, whose products he is marketing internationally.
An exquisite selection of 15 cheeses was served (the day after Ash Wednesday) as a basis for a relaxed party vibe.
The works of all 19 artists represented by Klasan Gallery were discussed for many hours into the evening.
The next solo exhibition is scheduled for early May. To receive an invitation, please register below.
